This morning started out with heavy rain at 6am. Haha, of course it did. I put my bike in an old pavilion (I would not think of camping in there. It was a bit dirty. ) so the bike and packs were dry. Only had to dry out my tent. I swear this year is so rainy, not a good year to try and tent it.

The city park in Oxford is amazing. It is well kept and clean (except for old pavilion). So much room to play in it. Any large city would be proud to have Oxfords park.

I headed out for a long ride today. I had to make Smith Center 73 miles away. Temps were a cool 60 with overcast skies, again.    I headed For the town of Alma 20 miles away for breakfast. Same good scenery of corn fields, and wheat fields. Lots of green, few trees.

After a couple of hrs I finally got breakfast. I was hungry and ate all I could. Off again, quickly for I was on pace for only 10mph. It was shaping up to be 7hrs peddling. So I hit going.

Outside of Alma, countryside was rollers the rest of the day. Dang, nothing wrong with flat!? I spent the rest of the day going up and down. Nebraska was green, and roadsides were notably clean! Rarely trash left on roadside. It was so nice.

After Franklin I head south and soon cross into Kansas! Yeah. I pull into Smith Center KS hungry! BBQ brisket, salad, mashed potatoes, and pie alamode! I can do that. I am very tired after such a long day (for me).
